Local Electric Delivery Vehicle and Drone Technology Company Workhorse Selects FC Cincinnati for its First Sports Sponsorship

FC Cincinnati and Workhorse Group Inc. (“Workhorse or the “Company”) today announced a multi-year partnership that launches with the opening of TQL Stadium. This partnership marks the first sports-related sponsorship for Workhorse.

As an Official Partner of FC Cincinnati, Workhorse will have a year-round presence, including naming rights for a stadium landmark – the ‘Workhorse Gate’ – located on the north end of the stadium, which will be one of four main entrances to the facility.  The partnership will also include ‘Workhorse Charging Stations’ for electric vehicles parking in the East Parking Garage throughout the year.  Workhorse will have broadcast-visible signage, alignment around a sustainability platform and other branding through FCC channels.

“FC Cincinnati and their state-of-the-art facility have caught the imagination of our metro region. We believe this sponsorship provides an excellent way to showcase Workhorse to our local community and potential customers. We are developing and manufacturing electric delivery vehicles and drone technologies that are making package delivery more efficient and environmentally friendly for businesses and consumers right here in Cincinnati,” said Steve Schrader, Workhorse Chief Financial Officer.

“We are excited to partner with a technology company like Workhorse at TQL Stadium. Workhorse is a Cincinnati-based company focused on sustainable transportation as well as fleet optimization technology; this is the kind of growth-oriented company FC Cincinnati wants in a partner.  Soccer is a growing sport, both domestically and internationally, and we look forward to growing our businesses together with Workhorse,” said Meg Whitman, Managing Owner, FC Cincinnati.

Headquartered in Loveland, OH, Workhorse Group Inc. (Nasdaq: WKHS) is a technology company that specializes in electric delivery vehicles, delivery drones and telematics. Their electric trucks are considered “last mile delivery,” and they operate in a variety of business sectors, including commercial marketplace and food delivery.

About TQL Stadium

TQL Stadium, FC Cincinnati’s home, is one of the most ambitious soccer-specific stadiums in not only North America but the world. Critically acclaimed global design firm, Populous, designed an innovative and forward-thinking stadium that is one of the largest soccer-specific facilities in Major League Soccer (MLS). The $250 million, privately funded stadium has a capacity of 26,000, with the closest seats within 15 feet of the field. The design includes 53 traditional suites and 4,500 premium seats throughout four premium club spaces. Additionally, the team’s famous supporters’ section, The Bailey, will grow to be more than 3,100 strong and loom over opponents at a 34-degree angle at the stadium’s north end. A 360-degree canopy roof covers every seat in the stadium, but still allows sufficient sun in to grow a natural grass field. The stadium has five team locker rooms, including a comprehensive team suite for FC Cincinnati that features a dressing room, coaches offices, lounge, equipment storage and the Mercy Health Center of Excellence for the team’s medical and game day fitness needs. TQL Stadium meets all current requirements to host CONCACAF and FIFA events, featuring top national teams from around the world, including the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, as well as the world’s top club teams for friendlies.  More information about the stadium is available at Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, or visit the stadium’s website: TQLStadium.com.
