"Supporters Stories" is an on-going series of stories about how FC Cincinnati has become a part of the lives of our supporters. Submissions selected by our staff will receive 2 free tickets to sit in the Founders Club -- the spacious, 5th floor suite used by FCC President & GM Jeff Berding -- for an upcoming match. I fell in love with FC Cincinnati at the first game I went to.
It was the team’s first meet up with Louisville on April 16th, and my first professional soccer game. As soon as the game started, I knew I would love them. I play soccer myself, so I always wanted someone to look up to. Which is easy, since the players are always so nice at all the local things they do. I’m only 10 and they are a great influence on me.
In fact, the best day of my life was the day I got to meet a few of the players. My dad helped to make a commercial with the team and I got to tag along. It was a great experience! First I got to see them practice, where I got to pass with Francisco Narbon and Michael Millay. I even got to meet my favorite player, Andrew Wiedeman!
It’s always fun to go to the games. I’ve been to four so far and all have been great. It’s nice that they have things like press conferences and The John Harkes radio show here now. And it’s just really cool for me since I live in Cincinnati.
