After nearly a month away from home, FC Cincinnati returns to action at Nippert Stadium next Wednesday when the Rochester Rhinos come to town.
As you might expect, the long delay has left many extremely excited for the first match at our home ground in what feels like ages. If you were suffering from withdrawal symptoms, don't worry: so were we. So to celebrate the Orange & Blue's return, the club has a number of exciting events planned for the occasion.
CRAFT BEER NIGHT
For all the craft beer aficionados out there, make sure to head to Nippert next Wednesday we'll be holding our very first Craft Beer Night!
You can expect an increase in selection of craft offerings from SweetWater, MadTree and Moerlein, and you'll be able to pick up those offerings in more locations around Nippert than normal. Plus, thanks to the breweries mentioned above, we'll also be handing out free koozies to the first 6000 fans through the gates over the age of 21!
UC NIGHT
With classes set to begin at the University of Cincinnati on Monday, August 24th, next Wednesday's match versus the Rhinos will be the first on campus of the new school year. And what better way is there to kick off back-to-school time than to take in a professional soccer match at Nippert?
As such, we're dubbing the match a "UC Night"! Students can help us fill the Legion Student Section of Nippert (Sections 112-116) by picking up a ticket for just $5. And UC faculty and staff should check their emails for a special discount ticket code!
UNITED WAY BOOK DRIVE
Our community partner of the game against Rochester will be the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and together we're challenging our passionate supporters to bring a new or gently used children's books to donation bins inside the gates of Nippert Stadium.
All books collected will be donated to the Cincinnati Enquirer's childhood literacy program as part of their 175th anniversary celebrations.
With normal pre-match parties, marches and UDF Kids Zone activities back again next Wednesday too, there's plenty to come out for at 7pm -- never mind watching a professional soccer match! So be sure to hit the link below and secure your tickets now!
