CINCINNATI, OH --- Kenney Walker was honored as the USL Player of the Week after leading FC Cincinnati to a key 4-2 win over New York Red Bulls II last Sat.

The midfielder, who picked up his first Player of the Week honor, assisted on a pair of goals before tallying one of his own. Walker assisted on FCC’s first goal, finding Austin Berry off a corner kick in the fifth minute to put FCC on the board. He then hit Harrison Delbridge with a pass and the defender blasted the ball from outside the 18-yard box that made the score 3-1. Walker capped the scoring for FCC with a goal in the 72nd minute, curling a free kick into the left side for his first goal of the season. Walker is the team leader in assists with six and is tied for ninth in the USL.

Bone scored his second goal against the New York Red Bulls organization, putting away a shot off a clearance by NYRBII in the 32nd minute that proved to be the eventual game-winner. Bone, who scored his first USL goal of the year on his 29th birthday, also had a tally against the Red Bulls’ MLS side that put FCC ahead 1-0 in the semifinal of the U.S. Open Cup on Aug. 15.

FCC plays the first of its final four matches of the regular season on the road, beginning with a trip to Saint Louis FC this Sat. at 8:30 p.m. ET. FCC is currently sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 10-9-9 record.
