CINCINNATI, OH --- Andrew Wiedeman’s first goal of the season was the equalizer in an eventual 2-2 draw against Eastern Conference leader Charleston Battery and came in at No. 10 on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 last Sat. The recognition continues for Wiedeman, who was voted to the USL Team of the Week for the first time this season.

Wiedman’s goal in the 80th minute pulled FCC even and followed a pair of Battery goals that erased an FCC lead, secured by Djiby’s 10th goal of the season in the fourth minute of action.

A four-time USL Team of the Week honoree, Wiedeman came off the bench in the 68th minute and knocked down a pass from Josu before collecting the ball and firing a left-footed shot that beat Odisnel Cooper.

Wiedeman has played in 13 games this season and is third on the team with four points on a goal and two assists.

FCC hosts Saint Louis FC this Sat. at Nippert Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
