After defeating 2016 NPSL national champions AFC Cleveland last night in a thrilling 120-minute Open Cup match, FC Cincinnati has qualified for the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. And as was revealed when the previous draw against Cleveland was announced, a potential opponent that we might face provided we advanced was one our club and fans have become quite familiar with over the last few years.
Well, the results went the way that scenario required. As a result, we are officially hosting River Cities Derby rival Louisville City FC at Nippert on May 31, 2017, at 7pm!
With our closest rival's due to make a return visit after the heated regular season match in April, interest in tickets has predictably been high. So be sure to read on below to find out how you can secure tickets for this highly anticipated cup match.
SEASON TICKET HOLDERS
While last night's match against AFC Cleveland was included in your 2017 season ticket package, the match against Louisville City on 5/31 is not. But, you do get first dibs on your seats for this epic Open Cup match up:
- All season ticket holders will be eligible to claim their existing seats for this match. Tickets can be purchased by calling (513) 977-KICK or by logging in to your online account.
- Beginning Tuesday, May 23rd, at 9:00 AM any unclaimed season tickets will be released for sale to the general public.
- Whether purchasing online or over the phone, all season ticket holders will also have the option to purchase additional tickets (currently available) through the exclusive season ticket holder pre-sale opportunity.
- Ticket prices will remain consistent with regular USL matches at Nippert Stadium.
- Online parking will be made available in designated UC campus garages for $10.00 a vehicle. FCC parking information and availability can be accessed through UC parking Services. CLICK HERE to order prepaid parking passes for the 5/31 match.
- IMPORTANT: ALL BAILEY ticket buyers will also be issued a special event FCC wristband which will grant access into the Bailey in conjunction with a game ticket. Wristbands will be mailed in advance of the match and no admittance will be granted without both ticket -- either printed at home, mailed to you or shown on your mobile device -- and a wristband.

GENERAL PUBLIC SALE BEGINS MAY 23RD
If you're not a 2017 FC Cincinnati season ticket holder, all remaining seats in all sections of the stadium not secured by season ticket holders by end of day of May 22nd will be made available to the general public.

POTENTIAL FOURTH ROUND OPPONENT
US Soccer conducted the draws for both the potential Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup pairings and hosts today. Should we advance past Louisville in the third round on May 31st, the coin flips determined that we would host another in-state opponent in the fourth: Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew SC!
That match would take place on Wednesday, June 14th, at a time to be determined. Ticket pricing for that match has not yet been determined, though we anticipate using a similar system to acquire tickets as what has been implemented for the Open Cup third round match on May 31st.
