FCC Signs Crew's Cristian Martinez

CINCINNATI, OH --- FC Cincinnati has acquired midfielder, Cristian (KRIS-tee-ahn) Martinez, on loan from Columbus Crew SC on a game-by-game basis. 


Martinez, from Panama City, Panama, will be eligible to play with FCC this weekend at Richmond. A two-year member of Crew SC, Martinez made five appearances, including two starts in his rookie season. He scored once against Philadelphia, scoring against the Union to become the youngest member of Crew SC to score in a regular-season match.


Prior to joining Columbus in May of 2016, the 20-year old played with Chorrillo FC in Panama. He has had a stint with the Panama Under-20 National Team and has also played in the United Soccer League, starting for Pittsburgh Riverhounds


TRANSACTION: FC Cincinnati has signed Cristian Martinez to a short-term agreement.
