FC Cincinnati and TQL Stadium support Career Development

Jen & Fred #2

When TQL Stadium opened in May of 2021, FC Cincinnati and the stadium made it a goal to build a relationship with the community surrounding their new home. Through a partnership between Levy Restaurants and CityLink, a local non-profit organization, a program has been developed to train community members to be successful in all areas of life.

FC Cincinnati and CityLink had previously set up a similar program with Turner Construction and Jostin Construction, hosting a job training for individuals to learn and then get placed with construction companies around Cincinnati.

Fred Jordan and Jennifer Solomon moved through a similar program last season, joining the culinary team at Levy and at TQL Stadium. The duo have seen great success since then due to the work being done at the Culinary Program.

The Culinary Program has 4 weeks of hands-on training to develop the skills they will need in the field before they complete a 6-week internship where they will hopefully be hired upon completion. Fred and Jennifer were in the first group to complete the program at the stadium. Because of their success, they both sit on the Client Advisory Council for CityLink.

Fred recently won Levy’s first Employee of the Month award, and both he and Jennifer have transitioned from seasonal roles to long-term positions within Levy’s organization

This program has been a realization of a fundamental mission of FC Cincinnati, TQL Stadium, and the FC Cincinnati foundation, which is to build up the community around the stadium in addition to TQL Stadium itself.
