Cover The City #mls2cincy Campaign

First impressions are everything. And thanks to the help of our incredible supporters throughout 2016, there's no doubting that FC Cincinnati made one heck of a first impression. Together, we brought the attention of local, national and the international soccer communities to Cincinnati.

And while they say you never get a chance to make another first impression, that's not entirely true for the Queen City come this November.

You see, among the many eyes that turned towards Cincinnati during our inaugural season were those of the top league in this country: Major League Soccer.

And after providing our club and supporters coverage on the MLS website -- ranging from those detailing our accomplishments to speculation about the club's ambitious future -- the two parties are taking things another step further.

On November 29th, 2016, MLS Commissioner Don Garber will be visiting Cincinnati to see for himself what all the buzz is about.

Much like our incredible first season, this will be our lone opportunity to make just as big of a first impression on "The Soccer Don". It will be our first and last chance to let him know how big of a soccer town Cincinnati is for the first time, what kind of supporters we have here for the firs time, and the type of club FC Cincinnati aspires to be for the first time.

So today we launch our Cover the City #MLS2CINCY campaign to show MLS, Don Garber and the world how ready we are to make that first impression.

At our end of season Supporter Salute at Moerlein Lager House a few weeks ago, we began passing out Save the Date magnets for the Townhall event that we'll be hosting along with Don Garber while he's in town at 4pm on that Thursday, November 29th. You might have seen some pop up on social media that week, including our own accounts and supporter accounts.

But now we're asking all of you to do the same.

Help send the message that Cincinnati is ready for Major League Soccer to Commissioner Garber ahead of his arrival by taking pictures of the magnets around the city and tag it with the #MLS2CINCY hashtag on social media! From OTR to the banks, your locker at school to your favorite pitch or pub, we want to see you cover city so that no matter where the Soccer Don looks, he'll see our club.

And the club will be sharing our favorites along the way... who knows, maybe your post will catch the eye of the Don himself!

Don't have a magnet to snap and post? Along with having them available for free in our downtown shop, we'll also be distributing them to some our pub partners around town where you can pick some up too.

So be sure to book your calendars to take part in the Townhall event on 11.29, help spread the word of MLS executives coming to town, and give us a hand in making one more incredible first impression.

Oh, and stay tuned for more details in the weeks to come.
