Here at FC Cincinnati, we know our club would be nothing without our passionate supporters.
They've set record after record, turned heads across the country and played a massive part in defining our club's identity. And whether it's packing the stands for a massive rivalry match, showing up in force for a midweek cup match in less than ideal weather, or a crack-of-dawn welcome for soccer dignitaries visiting the Queen City, our supporters never fail to show their love for Cincinnati and the club that calls it home.
But to this point, these incredible fans have not had much of a say in how their club goes about its business.
That's about to change.
Beginning today, supporters will be eligible to apply to become a member of the official FC Cincinnati Supporter Council in 2017.
A total of twenty supporters will be selected by the club from the pool of applicants to be members of the first ever FCC Supporter Council. Members will meet bi-monthly throughout the course of 2017 to help the club tackle and make decisions about important topics such as match day experience, supporter relations and club initiatives.
Those interested in applying must meet the following criteria:
- A current 2017 season ticket holder.
- At least 18 years of age as of January 1, 2017.
- Able to commit to six bi-monthly meetings.
- Provide two fellow season ticket holder references, one of which must not be a family member.
- Sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Supporters do not have to be a member of any of the supporters group to be eligible to selection to the FCC Supporter Council. In fact, we hope to select a council that is an accurate crosssection of the whole Orange & Blue fan base, including members of different age groups, genders, races and sections of Nippert Stadium in which they sit. However, six spaces on the FCC Supporter Council will be reserved for the six SG's currently officially recognized by the club.
