Local broadcasts to stream for free on fccincinnati.com

FCC Free Stream

CINCINNATI – With the resumption of the 2020 Major League Soccer season on the horizon, FC Cincinnati have announced they will stream all of their locally produced 2020 matches free on fccincinnati.com.

The free stream on fccincinnati.com will complement the over-the-air broadcast coverage provided by WSTR Star 64, and be available throughout the club’s designated regional broadcast territory, which includes Greater Cincinnati, as well as Dayton, eastern Indiana, Lexington and Louisville regions. Matches will no longer be available through FloFC subscriptions.

The free match streams will be accessible inside the geofenced region and accessible at fccincinnati.com/stream. Each stream will begin at the advertised kickoff time and will include the entire match broadcast, including the 30-minute post-match show.

Play-by-play analyst Tom Gelehrter, analyst Kevin McCloskey and sideline reporters Lindsay Patterson and Alex Stec will bring fans all the action in every game streamed on fccincinnati.com.

Fans who live outside the club’s designated broadcast region will continue to stream the games through the MLS package via a monthly subscription at ESPN+ as they did in 2019.

“With excitement building for the return of the 2020 season, we’re thrilled to be able to deliver an amazing broadcast viewing option to our passionate fans this season when FC Cincinnati retakes the field,” FC Cincinnati Chief Operating Officer Dennis Carroll said. “Providing our local broadcast stream – for free, on fccincinnati.com – provides fans in our region more flexibility to follow along with every second of action when they can’t be there in person.”

Games broadcast or streamed by national broadcast partners will not be available on fccincinnati.com, and rather will be available online through those outlets’ streaming platforms.

Now in the final year of its current broadcast agreement with WSTR Star 64, both the club’s television and streaming rights for the 2021 and 2022 seasons will be up for bid and announced in early 2021.
