Don’t forget! Celebrate Cincy’s Rose this week

Lavelle

Cincinnati native and WORLD CUP CHAMPION Rose Lavelle will be in the Queen City later this week to celebrate the U.S. Women’s National Team winning their second-straight FIFA World Cup earlier this month.

On Thursday, Lavelle will be at FC Cincinnati’s prime-time ESPN match with D.C. United at Nippert Stadium. The game is a “White Out,” and fans are asked to wear white. In addition, the players will wear their secondary jerseys at home for the first time in MLS.

Lavelle will be honored at halftime during the match, which you can be a part of. Tickets are still available and start at $15. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. on ESPN, but festivities start at 5:30 p.m. at the free “Party on the Pitch” on Sheakley Lawn.

On Friday, the Greater Cincinnati region is invited to celebrate Lavelle’s achievement on Fountain Square. Beginning at noon, Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley will host a free, public party to celebrate the Queen City’s superstar.
