FC Cincinnati forward Brandon Vazquez and Head Coach Pat Noonan have been named to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week, presented by Audi, for Week 3 of the 2022 season.

Vazquez recorded his first career MLS brace and the second in club history in a 2-1 victory at Orlando City SC on Saturday night. His 13th minute goal opened the scoring with a tidy finish to the far post, and he scored again in the 53rd minute with a header from a Dominique Badji cross.

Noonan earned his first win as head coach of FC Cincinnati this weekend, in his third match in charge of the Orange and Blue. The tactical switches Noonan made at halftime of the match proved pivotal in the second half, allowing FC Cincinnati’s attack to take the lead once again and helping the defense to hold Orlando scoreless for the final 45’.

It is the first weekly league honor for both men, the 34rd player honor and fifth coaching honor in FC Cincinnati’s history.
