FCC Futures, presented by Old Spice, launched in 2021 with Taft High School to encourage students to consider a career path in or related to sports.

“Sports, and soccer specifically in our case, is a passion for many high school students,” said Kate Solomon, FC Cincinnati’s Vice President of Community Relations and Executive Director of FC Cincinnati Foundation. “This program utilizes sports to connect with high school students from targeted schools to pair a passion with a future career path.”

The program has grown to 18 students from Taft High School. Students work at TQL Stadium as Guest Experience Ambassadors giving them real-world work experience in the industry and hands-on guest relations experience. Additionally, students participate in monthly education sessions throughout the school year where FC Cincinnati staff and partners provide insight into different areas of the business, skills that have helped them succeed and their overall career path. Students have learned about Business Intelligence & IT, Marketing & Branding, Culinary, and Community Relations to name a few.

For the 2023 calendar year, the program will expand to at least four additional schools across Cincinnati Public. Keep an eye out for an FCC Futures staff member at an upcoming FC Cincinnati match or event!
