FC Cincinnati battled Inter Miami CF to a 2-2 draw Wednesday night at Nu Stadium in South Florida. Three goals over the final 10 minutes saw the two sides go back-and-forth and split the points in Miami.
The Orange and Blue (11-11-10, 43 points) battled back after Luis Suárez opened the scoring for Miami in the 61st minute. Kenji Mboma Dem equalized in the 80th minute and Samuel Gidi scored the go-ahead goal in the 86th minute, his first-career goal for FC Cincinnati. The frantic final 10 minutes continued with Riquelme Fillipi equalizing for Miami (15-6-11, 56 points) in the 90th minute.Â
Mboma Dem’s goal for Cincinnati was the club’s 65th of the 2026 Major League Soccer season, which set a club record for goals scored in a single MLS campaign. Following Gidi’s goal, the Orange and Blue have scored 66 goals this year, surpassing the previous club-high of 64 set in 2022.Â

FCC are two points ahead of ninth-place Columbus Crew and four points ahead of Red Bull New York and Toronto FC, who sit below the playoff line on 39 points each. The top-nine clubs from the Eastern Conference advance to the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs, with the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds facing off in the Wild Card Match.
The Orange and Blue are back at home Saturday, October 31 for a 2 p.m. kickoff against Philadelphia Union. AS IT HAPPENED
MIA: Luis Suárez, GOAL – 61’ (1-0) – Luis Suárez opened the scoring for Miami just moments after the hour mark with a curling right-footed effort from just inside the 18-yard line.
CIN: Kenji Mboma Dem, GOAL – 80’ (1-1) – Kenji Mboma Dem equalized with a stunning individual effort to bring things level with ten minutes to play. Evander played Mboma Dem out wide before the forward worked into the Miami box from the right wing with a series of quick stepovers, the last of which left a Miami defender off balance. Mboma Dem took advantage of the tight but open space and sent a perfect ball into the top left corner of goal.
CIN: Samuel Gidi, GOAL – 86’ (1-2) – Samuel Gidi put Cincinnati in front just six minutes later as the Orange and Blue broke quickly into attack from deep in their own half. Kévin Denkey began the move, playing up to Evander who brought possession down the left wing before moving more centrally, and playing across the box to Tom Barlow. Barlow hesitated on his initial touch and shot attempt and elected to play back to Gidi who trailed the play. Gidi hit first time and found the lower left corner with a precise finish.
MIA: Riquelme Fillipi, GOAL – 90’ (2-2) – Riquelme Fillipi brought Miami back on level terms with the final goal of the match a curler from a near identical position as Luis Suárez's opener.
