Powell

FC Cincinnati right back Alvas Powell got married this past weekend back in Portland, where Powell used to play. It came conveniently in a brief break for his national team – Jamaica – before it starts play in the Concacaf Gold Cup tonight in Kingston – the first-ever Gold Cup game in Jamaica.

Fanendo Adi was in the wedding between Alvas and Allee, and called it a wonderful experience.

“I was lucky to be here,” Adi said of the wedding. “We enjoyed the moment and I felt for him. It was very emotional to see him because I’ve known him for such a long time.

“To see him grow into becoming a man and get married and settle down, it’s going to be a good step for him.”
