FC Cincinnati Foundation honors students at Learning is Cool celebration

On Monday, July 18, the FC Cincinnati Foundation invited over 7,500 students to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden for the annual Learning Is Cool Academic Achievement Celebration, presented by CTI.

Each of the students in attendance achieved the “A Honor Roll’ by having a 3.51 GPA or better for at least two quarters during the 2021-2022 school year. Students and their families enjoyed a free day at the Zoo and were congratulated by the full roster of FC Cincinnati players and team executives, including Co-CEO Jeff Berding, General Manager Chris Albright and Head Coach Pat Noonan. All 26,000 eligible students receive a kickoff gift at the start of the school year and “A Honor Roll" achievers receive quarterly rewards throughout the year.

The Learning Is Cool Academic Achievement Celebration is an annual highlight for all of us at FC Cincinnati as our players and staff celebrate the success of the students in the program" said Kate Solomon Vice President of Community Relations and Executive Director of FC Cincinnati Foundation. "We appreciate the support of our partners, including CTI and the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, to help create such a memorable evening for everyone involved."

The Learning Is Cool Program has run for over a decade and was created under the Marvin Lewis Community Fund. FC Cincinnati Foundation acquired the program in 2019 and have been proud to carry on the legacy and impact. The honor roll incentive program encourages children to perform well in the classroom through rewards and experiences and reaches over 26,000 students from 68 schools covering three school districts and two schools in the West End.
