FCC helps Kick Childhood Cancer

0Kick Childhood Cancer 5

FC Cincinnati continued its support for the MLS WORKS “Kick Childhood Cancer” initiative with a special platform at the September 3 match versus Charlotte FC at TQL Stadium.

The match featured a gold theme, the adopted color for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and included gold nets and corner flags, special player patches as well as captain and referee armbands. The player walk out featured kids representing four childhood cancer organizations supported by FCC: The Dragonfly Foundation, Cancer Free Kids, The Cure Starts Now and Ronald McDonald House. In addition to the in-game experience, the four organizations received a portion of sales from a special Kick Childhood Cancer scarf sold in-store and online and with care packages, courtesy of Continental Tire.

It’s not too late to get involved, fans have an opportunity to donate on behalf of their favorite MLS Club to a local KCC charity as part of the Continental KCC Challenge, led by MLS WORKS. Taking place throughout September, fans can visit www.TheContinentalKCCChallenge.com to donate and Continental Tire will match each donation up to $50,000. Funds will be donated to FC Cincinnati Foundation and distributed between The Dragonfly Foundation, Cancer Free Kids, The Cure Starts Now and Ronald McDonald House. Additionally, the MLS WORKS Kick Childhood Cancer auction will take place from October 31 through November 14 to benefit the Children’s Oncology Group.
