FCC trade Manneh to Revolution for int’l spot

Manneh trade

CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati have acquired an international roster slot through Dec. 31, 2020, from the New England Revolution in exchange for midfielder/forward Kekuta Manneh.

Manneh, 25, made 29 appearances, including 16 starts, scoring four goals and adding three assists with the Orange and Blue since 2019.

“We want to thank Kekuta for his role in helping build this club, having joined our organization in its inaugural MLS season,” FC Cincinnati General Manager Gerard Nijkamp said. “We wish him all the best in the next step of his career. This move will give us greater flexibility in what we can do as we look to add to our roster for the remainder of the 2020 MLS season.”

Manneh joined FCC on Feb. 13, 2019, prior to the club’s inaugural MLS season. The Gambian-born winger made his FC Cincinnati debut against Seattle Sounders FC on March 2, 2019, in FC Cincinnati’s inaugural MLS match. He registered his first goal and first assist with the club on March 24, 2019, at the New England Revolution.

FC Cincinnati will return to Nippert Stadium for the first time in 2020 on Friday, Aug. 21, when the team hosts D.C. United for the continuation of the MLS regular season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on WSTR 64, carried on the radio on WDJO (99.5 FM, 107.9 FM and 1480 AM), streamed regionally on fccincinnati.com/stream, out of market on ESPN+, while an audio stream will be available at TuneIn (WDJO) and fccincinnati.com.
