FC Cincinnati will travel to face the New England Revolution in the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32, to be played Wednesday, May 11 from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed exclusively on ESPN+.
FC Cincinnati will meet the Revolution for the first time in U.S. Open Cup competition. All-time, the Orange and Blue are 1-3-0 against the Revs, with the lone win coming at Gillette Stadium, a 2-0 FC Cincinnati win on March 24, 2019. New England are the 2007 U.S. Open Cup Champions, and twice have finished runners-up, including most recently in 2016.
The Revs are one of the final eight entrants to enter the 2022 U.S. Open Cup this round, as a result of their first ever Supporters’ Shield campaign last season when New England had the best record in MLS, holding a 22-5-7 record (73 points).
FC Cincinnati are 9-3-2 all-time in the U.S. Open Cup, and advanced to the Round of 32 by defeating Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC 2-0 Tuesday night at TQL Stadium. The FC Cincinnati – New England winner will advance to the Round of 16, with the draw for that round to be held May 12.
The Orange and Blue host LAFC on Sunday, April 24 at 5 p.m. All fans are encouraged to wear orange for an Orange Out at TQL Stadium, and the game will be broadcast nationally on FS1 and FOX Deportes.
