FC Cincinnati will host New York City FC in the Round of 32 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 p.m. ET at TQL Stadium. Tickets are on sale now at FCCincinnati.com/Tickets or by calling (513) 977-5425 (KICK).

The match will stream for free on the CBS Sports Golazo Network, which is available to stream free on connected TV and mobile devices through the CBS Sports App and Pluto TV, and on CBSSports.com, as well as on Paramount+.

The Round of 32 brings the final eight seeded MLS clubs into the annual, single-elimination competition, joining the 24 clubs who advanced to the fourth round. Those clubs include CONCACAF Champions League participants Austin FC, LAFC, Orlando City SC and Philadelphia Union, as well as the top-two teams from each conference, determined by 2022 season standings (FC Dallas, LA Galaxy, NYCFC and New York Red Bulls).

FC Cincinnati will meet NYCFC for the ninth time in club history, and the first time in the Open Cup. The Orange and Blue have never beaten the Pigeons, holding an 0-6-2 record against NYCFC in league play, having taken a point in both matchups last season.

NYCFC enters the competition as one of the top-ranked teams from the 2022 Eastern Conference standings not playing in Concacaf Champions League.

2023 marks the 108th edition of the U.S. Open Cup, the oldest national soccer competition in the United States, which first began in 1913. The Orange and Blue are 10-4-2 all-time in the event, which most notably FC Cincinnati advanced to the semifinals of in 2017, falling in extra time to the New York Red Bulls in front of a then sell-out crowd of 33,250 fans at Nippert Stadium. But not before the then-USL side advanced past five opponents including defeating Columbus Crew SC and knocking off Chicago Fire in penalty kicks.

FC Cincinnati advanced to the Round of 32 by defeating Louisville City FC, 1-0, on Wednesday, April 26 at TQL Stadium.

Last season, in the first U.S. Open Cup held since 2019, FC Cincinnati hosted and defeated Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC after extra time in the Third Round before falling in the Round of 32 away to New England Revolution.
