FC Cincinnati sign midfielder Harrison Robledo to a Homegrown contract

FC Cincinnati have acquired the Homegrown Priority of midfielder Harrison Robledo from New York City FC and signed Robledo to a Homegrown contract through the 2023 season, with options through 2025, the club announced today.

In return, FC Cincinnati send $50,000 in 2022 General Allocation Money (GAM) to New York, with an additional $25,000 in performance-based incentives. NYCFC will also retain a percentage of a future transfer fee outside of MLS.

“Harrison is a versatile young midfielder with a great engine,” said FC Cincinnati General Manager Chris Albright. “He’s another player with great character who has shown a lot of growth in his time with us, and we look forward to his continued development with FC Cincinnati.”

Robledo, 20, spent four years in the New York City FC academy. The Queens, New York native won the 2016 GA cup with the NYCFC U-16 team and played on the 2018 U-18/19 Development National Championship team.

He moved to Cincinnati’s Academy in 2020 and traveled with the FC Cincinnati squad to both legs of the club’s 2022 Preseason Camp. Robledo appeared in all five of FC Cincy’s preseason matches, assisting Yuya Kubo’s goal in a 1-1 draw against the Philadelphia Union and scoring the winner in a 3-2 victory over Nashville SC.
