Major League Soccer announced today FC Cincinnati’s full schedule for the 2027 MLS Sprint Season. The 2027 MLS Sprint Season will launch the league’s transition into its new summer-to-spring calendar and aligns its schedule with the world’s top soccer leagues. The fast-paced, high-stakes competition will kick off the weekend of February 19-21 and culminate in the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs and 2027 MLS Cup presented by Audi on Memorial Day Weekend in May.
During the Sprint Season, FC Cincinnati will face their 14 Eastern Conference opponents once, playing seven matches at home and seven on the road. Following the 14-match regular season, the top eight clubs from each conference will advance to the single-elimination Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs. The complete postseason schedule will be announced at a later date.
FC Cincinnati will kick off the 2027 Sprint Season in a league-wide, season-opening, standalone match on Friday, February 19 at Inter Miami CF at Nu Stadium in Miami (8 p.m. ET).
The Orange and Blue’s home opener comes eight days later on Saturday, February 27 in a 3 p.m. ET kickoff at TQL Stadium against New York City FC.
FC Cincinnati will additionally host Orlando City SC (March 6), 2026 Supporters’ Shield-winners Nashville SC (March 20), Chicago Fire FC (April 7), New England Revolution (April 10), Toronto FC (April 21) and, in the club’s home finale, the Columbus Crew on April 24 in the lone regular season Hell is Real derby of the 2027 Sprint Season.
Road trips following the season opener in South Florida include away matches at Charlotte FC (March 3), D.C. United (March 13), Red Bull New York (March 27), Philadelphia Union (April 3), Atlanta United FC (April 17) and, after a bye week on May 1, Decision Day north of the border at CF Montréal on May 8.
The 2027 Sprint Season sets the stage for Major League Soccer’s new summer-to-spring calendar and schedule beginning in July 2027, running through May 2028. The 2027-28 schedule will be announced at a later date.

MLS is Back Weekend: February 19-21
The 2027 MLS Sprint Season kicks off with a standalone match on Friday, February 19 between Inter Miami CF and FC Cincinnati at Nu Stadium in Miami (8 p.m. ET), followed by 13 additional matches across Saturday and Sunday.
The Saturday, February 20 action kicks off with Philadelphia Union hosting Chicago Fire FC (1 p.m. ET) and features the 2026 Supporters’ Shield winners Nashville SC hosting New York City FC (3 p.m. ET). The weekend concludes on February 21 with a Southern California rivalry edition of Sunday Night Soccer presented by Continental Tire between San Diego FC and LAFC at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles (7 p.m. ET).

Returning for the 2027 MLS Sprint Season are Walmart Saturday Showdown and Sunday Night Soccer presented by Continental Tire, highlighted games of the week with enhanced production as well as immersive pre- and post-game coverage that brings fans deeper into the matchday experience. Marquee Matches Every Weekend
The fast-paced, intra-conference regular season delivers nonstop marquee and rivalry matches. Featured rivalry matches include the Canadian Classique between CF Montréal at Toronto FC on February 27 (Time TBD), a Cascadia Cup match on March 20 with Seattle Sounders FC visiting Vancouver Whitecaps FC (10 p.m. ET), El Tráfico when LA Galaxy host LAFC on April 10 (10 p.m. ET), the Florida Derby with Inter Miami CF visiting Orlando City on April 17 (5 p.m. ET) and Hell is Real as the Columbus Crew travel to face FC Cincinnati on April 24 (5 p.m. ET).
MLS Decision Day 2027 on May 8
The MLS regular season concludes with Decision Day 2027 on Saturday, May 8. The slate features Eastern Conference matches kicking off at 5 p.m. ET and Western Conference matches beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Apple TV, with results determining which teams qualify for the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs. Highlighted Decision Day matches include the Hudson River Derby between New York City FC and Red Bull New York (5 p.m. ET) and 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup champions St. Louis CITY SC hosting Seattle Sounders FC (8 p.m. ET).
Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs and 2027 MLS Cup presented by Audi
Following Decision Day 2027 on May 8, the top eight teams in each of the two conferences will qualify for the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs. In each conference, the postseason will be played in a single-elimination bracket format to determine a conference champion. The Eastern and Western Conference champions will meet in 2027 MLS Cup presented by Audi on Memorial Day Weekend. The complete postseason schedule will be announced at a later date.
