FC Cincinnati launch Farewell to Nippert campaign to commemorate final match at Nippert Stadium

One Last Match

CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati will conclude their final regular season at Nippert Stadium with a mid-week match against Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday, Oct. 28, after five seasons played at the historic venue. The Orange and Blue will celebrate the occasion with the Farewell to Nippert campaign, a tribute to the club’s home for the past five years.

Leading up to the home finale, FCC will launch a series of contests, promotions and events ahead of the historic sendoff. The club and fans alike will relive their favorite memories with our Fan Memory of the Match and Shots of Nippert presented by El Jimador contests. Supporters will have the opportunity to celebrate the Orange and Blue’s five years at Nippert Stadium with current and former players at the Heineken Happy Hour.

Since the club’s creation, Nippert Stadium has served as the home for the Orange and Blue. FC Cincinnati played their first-ever home game, a 2-1 win, against Charlotte Independence on April 9, 2016. Since then, the venue has been the site for many fan-favorite memories, including the sold-out international friendly against Crystal Palace on July 16, 2016, the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup run and the 2018 USL regular-season championship season. Nippert Stadium and the Orange and Blue faithful were showcased on the world stage when FC Cincinnati faced the Portland Timbers on March 17, 2019 in the club’s first ever MLS regular-season home match.

The club’s state-of-the-art West End Stadium, located in the historic West End neighborhood, will open in Spring 2021.

All campaign details can be found on the Farewell to Nippert hub.
