FC Cincinnati will support, amplify and observe Juneteenth. To commemorate Juneteenth, FC Cincinnati staff will participate in the 36th Annual Juneteenth Cincinnati Festival and Cincinnati’s Juneteenth Parade.
For the June 21 match against Toronto FC, the club will recognize Juneteenth with various activations pre-match at Washington Park, and in-stadium including the singing of Lift Every Voice and Sing as part of the on-field ceremonies. The club will wear a special pre-match top, and Juneteenth Cincinnati and Paloozanoire – the community partners of the match – will benefit from proceeds from the MLS Works Juneteenth Inspired Jersey Auction to help fund future events.
Participation in events and support of local organizations like Juneteenth Cincinnati is important to the FC Cincinnati organization, as the club works foster an inclusive community in our region and support organizations who are doing great work in our community. The Street Team will also be at Paloozanoire’s Juneteenth Block Party (Freedom Center; 50 E Freedom Way) on June 17.
