FC Cincinnati have punched their ticket.
With the 2-1 on Wednesday night against Atlanta United FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, The Orange and Blue were the first MLS club to clinch their spot in the 2023 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.
With the victory and qualification, FC Cincinnati become the second-fastest MLS side to earn passage to the playoffs in league history, doing so through 26 matches, one behind record setters LAFC in both 2019 and 2022, who earned their spot after 25 matches in both cases.
FC Cincinnati earned their spot in a come-from-behind win, with captain and MVP candidate Luciano Acosta and striker Brandon Vazquez each scoring in the final 15 minutes of the match.
FC Cincinnati lead the MLS Supporters’ Shield race with 57 points, earned with a 17-3-6 record.
