This Saturday, May 31st, at TQL Stadium, FC Cincinnati continues its tradition of celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community with its Pride Night match, presented by Procter & Gamble, when they take on D.C. United. With in-stadium tributes to inclusion and belonging, and a full slate of pre-match festivities, the night promises to be one of color, connection, and community.
Before the match, fans are invited to join the official Pre-Match at the Park at Washington Park from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Ahead of the match The Bailey will also lead their march into the stadium, departing from Washington Park at 6:30 heading toward TQL Stadium in a vibrant show of solidarity.
At Washington Park, fans can:
- Take photos with Procter & Gambleās rainbow balloon display
- Visit P&G for a clear bag giveaway and product samples
- Design a custom FCC magnet with James Reynolds
- Grab an exclusive FCC x Pride fan at the giveaway tent, free to the first 500 fans who show the FC Cincinnati App on their device
Enjoy entertainment from DJ Mister Fantastic, and refuel with food from:
- Street Pops
- Best Thing Smokinā
- Jennās Hot Tamale
Local LGBTQIA+ organizations like Cincinnati Pride, PFLAG, Cincinnati Sisters, and The John Arthur and Jim Obergefell Marriage Equality Mural will also be present, alongside fun activities for fans of all ages like an inflatable slide, snooker ball, a coloring table, airbrush and balloon art, and more.
Inside TQL Stadium, the Pride celebration continues as The Orange and Blue take the field. Look to The Bailey during pre-match for a spectacular rainbow smoke display, while rainbow pyro will light up the night as kickoff approaches.
In a special honor:
- Sam Bowling, selected by Cincinnati Pride, will deliver the match ball as part of the Game Ball Delivery presented by TQL
- Dan Steele, also chosen by Cincinnati Pride, will sing the national anthem
- DJ Bobby G will bring the beats as our pre-match guest DJ
During the match, fans can stop by The Corner Kick (above section 132) to write letters of encouragement to LGBTQIA+ youth at the Letters of Love station.
And of course, special Pride merchandise will be available in the team store, including the on-field warmup top worn by FC Cincinnati players. Specialty posters, created by Cincinnati Artist James Reynolds will also be available in the team store (while supplies last).
In addition to Pride Night, throughout the month of June FC Cincinnati and the FC Cincinnati Foundation will continue their engagement with the LGBTQIA+ community by attending local Pride events and parades across the region, including appearances at NKY Pride, Cincinnati Pride, Dearborn County Pride Festival, and more.
