The roar of The Bailey may be temporarily on hiatus from TQL Stadium, but Cincinnati's connection to the world's game has hardly stopped.

As Major League Soccer pauses for its summer break, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup underway, the Queen City has embraced what FC Cincinnati has dubbed the "Summer of Soccer," transforming bars, breweries, restaurants, and public spaces across the region into gathering places for fans following international competition.

At the center of the celebration is Fountain Square, where FC Cincinnati and 3CDC have partnered to host a series of Soccer Celebrations throughout the World Cup.

The atmosphere reflects something Cincinnati soccer supporters have long understood, soccer thrives in communities, neighborhood pubs, brewery taprooms, and community gathering spaces where supporters can come together to share in the drama of international competition. These summer watch parties provide all Cincinnatians the opportunity to gather and celebrate the game.

And there is no shortage of places to do exactly that. From taprooms like MadTree and Rhinegeist to longtime soccer staples like Molly Malone's, supporters can find a viewing experience that fits their style. Dedicated soccer venues like The Pitch Cincy will host marquee matches, while family-friendly destinations such as Element Eatery offer opportunities for fans of all ages to take part.

Throughout June and July, dozens of watch parties will take place across Greater Cincinnati, culminating with semifinal and final match celebrations at Fountain Square. The schedule creates a citywide network of soccer gatherings, ensuring that whether fans are cheering for the United States, supporting another national team, or simply enjoying the tournament as neutrals, there is always a place to join in the party.

For a city that has spent the last decade establishing itself as one of North America's most passionate soccer markets, the Summer of Soccer serves as another reminder that Cincinnati's love for the game extends well beyond FC Cincinnati matchdays. So even while TQL Stadium sits idle, the sport remains top of mind and center stage for all.
