FC Cincinnati’s Evander has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 32, the league announced Monday afternoon. Evander earns a place in the league’s weekly best for the fifth time this season.

Evander tallied his 14th goal and 15th assist of the MLS Regular Season Saturday night against D.C. United in a 2-0 win for the Orange and Blue at Audi Field. Evander put his name back on the scoresheet for the first time since August 22 with a signature strike from distance and a goal of the matchday contender in the 35th minute of play.

The attacking midfielder then played provider in the second half, picking out Tom Barlow with a perfect pass to give Cincinnati a two-goal lead in the 52nd minute. Saturday’s performance marked Evander’s 20th match with multiple goal contributions in a Cincinnati uniform and saw the Brazilian become the second player in MLS history to reach at least 15 assists in three consecutive seasons (Lionel Messi 2024-26).

Evander became the second player in MLS history with three straight seasons of 15+ assists, after Lionel Messi one week prior became the first player in league history to do so.

Evander’s nod to the Team of the Matchday is the 22nd for an FC Cincinnati player this season. The full list is below.
