Eric Lichaj set to join Men's Youth National Team camp

FC Cincinnati Academy coach Eric Lichaj joins the Men's Youth National U-17s in Chula Vista, California for a week-long domestic camp. The camp runs through Aug. 24 and features some of the best youth talents in the country.

Lichaj will serve as an assistant coach alongside head coach, Gonzalo Segares, making the camp Lichaj’s first experience with a Men’s Youth National team. Lichaj, who made 16 appearances for the USMNT, brings the experience of a 14-year playing career to Chula Vista and the U-17s.

Lichaj joined the FC Cincinnati Academy at the end of March and currently coaches FCC’s U-19s after taking over for Tyrone Marshall. A number of Lichaj’s academy players feature for FC Cincinnati 2 in MLS NEXT Pro.

The FCC Academy season is underway with teams training at Mercy Health Training Center. Matches are set to begin next month. For more information on the academy visit, https://www.fccincinnati.com/academy/.
