RECAP | FC Cincinnati 2 fall to Columbus Crew 2 4-0 in inaugural derby match

FC Cincinnati 2 saw defeat in the inaugural derby match against Columbus Crew 2 on Saturday night, 2-0. Center back Daniel Strachen’s long distance effort in the 25’ was bolstered by Jacen Russell-Rowe’s 12th goal of the season for Crew 2 as the hosts took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Two more goals in the final 15 minutes saw Crew 2 earn all three points at Historic Crew Stadium.

FCC 2 stay on the road next Friday to face Rochester New York FC. Kickoff on July 22 is set for 5:30 p.m.
