FC Cincinnati 2 will host Crown Legacy FC at Scudamore Field at NKU Soccer Stadium on Sunday, September 20 in the final match of the MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season. The Orange and Blue and CLFC will meet for the first time this season in the Decision Day matchup.

The matchup – Sunday’s match will mark the seventh all-time meeting between the Orange and Blue and CLFC. FCC 2 earned three points in the last meeting against the Charlotte based side, a 4-3 win for the Orange and Blue in August 2025.

Crown Legacy FC sit atop the Eastern Conference table, but Sunday’s match against the Orange and Blue is still an important one for the visitors. An outright win or shootout win would lock up the number one seed in the east for CLFC while an outright loss or shootout loss would open the door for Chattanooga FC to steal the top spot on the final day.
Crown Legacy will look to secure the one seed through their high-flying attack. CLFC have scored a league-leading 65 goals behind forward Hugo Mbongue. Mbongue has 13 goals this season, leading the team and sitting tied for the third most across the league.
Forward Nathan Richmond leads the team with 10 assists and total goal contributions (8G, 10A). Richmond, in his first season with the club, will have his eyes set on reaching the double-digit goal mark to go along with his assist total. Going into the final day of the regular season, only one player in MLS NEXT Pro has double digit goals and assists (Kevin Gbamblé, Columbus Crew 2 – 12G, 11A).
CLFC are also dominant on the defensive side of the ball where they have allowed just 38 goals, tied for the seventh fewest this year. Crown Legacy’s eight shutout performances trail only Huntsville City FC (9) for a lead in the Eastern Conference.
