FC Cincinnati 2/Matchup Notes
The matchup – Sunday’s match will be the third and final meeting of the regular season between FCC 2 and Revs II. Revs II have won both matches in 2026 after the Orange and Blue won two straight to close out the 2025 series.
Both matches this season have come down to the wire, with Revs II earning late wins in each outing. FC Cincinnati Academy goalkeeper Connor Dale, who made his MLS NEXT Pro debut against the Revs II back in June, made five saves in the contest, denying the visitors until the final kick of the match in the seventh minute of second half stoppage time.
In March, the first match of the year between the sides, Charlie Holmes scored his first career goal for FCC 2 to level things late in the second half at 1-1. Revs II grabbed a late winner through a Cincinnati own goal in the 86th minute.

A true contender for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, Revs II enter Sunday’s match on the back of a 3-0 midweek win against New York City FC II. The strength of New England lies in their defense, where they have given up just 20 goals this season, tied for the third fewest in the league.
Revs II minutes leader Gabriel Dahlin anchors the backline. Dahlin has gone 90 minutes in all 14 of his appearances for New England this season and has helped lead his side to seven shutouts, tied for the third most in MLSNP. Jake Shannon is a likely pairing with Dahlin in the back where he has made 13 starts in 14 appearances.
The New England attack is heavily concentrated through leading scorer Myles Morgan. Morgan has accounted for seven of the team’s 26 goals and paces the team with 50 shots; 16 more than Carlos Zambrano, who sits second in the category. Morgan has scored in three of his last five appearances and has tallied no fewer than three attempts on goal over his last eight.
