FC Cincinnati 2 to host New England Revolution II on Sunday

FC Cincinnati 2 will host New England Revolution II at Scudamore Field at NKU Soccer Stadium for a Matchweek 14 matchup this Sunday, June 7 at 6 p.m. ET. FCC 2 get back into action after a bye in Matchweek 13 and secure a fourth home victory of 2026.

FC Cincinnati 2/Matchup Notes 

The matchup - This Sunday’s matchup marks the second meeting of the season between FCC 2 and New England Revolution II. The last time these two teams faced, the Orange and Blue lost 2-1 at Beirne Stadium in Rhode Island. FC Cincinnati 2 and New England Revolution II will play one another once more this season on July 26. 

Samson’s first career goal - Defender Félix Samson got his first MLS NEXT Pro career goal during FCC 2’s last home game against Chattanooga FC. Samson pounced on a loose ball and scored from right in front of the net. Samson has started the past six six games and played the full 90 minutes in five appearances. 

Niang and Mosquera return - Forwards Cheikhou Niang and Deiver Mosquera both returned to the field for the Orange and Blue’s game against New York City FC II after dealing with injuries. Niang played for 21 minutes off the bench, after last appearing on April 19 against Red Bull New York II, and Mosquera played for 12 after last appearing on April 13 against NYCFC II. 

Home cooking – FC Cincinnati 2 will host three of the club’s four matches in the month of June at home, and six of the club’s next eight matches will take place at Scuadmore Field at NKU Soccer Stadium. FCC 2 have already earned three wins in five home matches this season.

Coming off a 2-2 draw and a 4-3 shootout win against Crown Legacy FC, New England Revolution II will be looking to secure points in a second straight road match. Prior to their draw, the Revs have had home and away success, winning three consecutive matches. Entering Sunday in fifth in the Eastern Conference, New England Revolution 2 will look to continue their five-match unbeaten streak.

New England Revolution II is led by head coach Pablo Moreira. From Montevideo, Uruguay, Moreira is in his first season as Head Coach of the New England Revolution II. Prior to his time with Revolution II, Moreira served as an assistant head coach for the first team and with the Columbus Crew from 2019-2022.

The leading scorer for the Revs is forward Myles Morgan. Morgan, a Canada native, Morgan has notched four goals in regular season play and has started seven games out of eleven games played. Attempting 24 shots with a passing accuracy of 71 percent.
