Loan Roundup: USL Championship Week 6

Dally

Three of FC Cincinnati’s 2019 MLS SuperDraft picks featured for their current USL clubs this past week.

Here’s a look at how they fared:

Rashawn Dally

Position: Forward

Club: Memphis 901 FC

Result: 1-0 loss against Atlanta United 2

Dally started and played the full match against Atlanta on Wednesday night. He finished with a 77.8% passing accuracy and won eight duels, four of which were aerial duels.

In front of goal, Dally recorded two shots – with one on target. He also created two chances and nearly produced the match’s equalizing goal in the 74th minute with a shot that was inches away from tucking into the bottom right corner.

Tommy McCabe

Position: Midfielder

Club: North Carolina FC

Result: 2-1 loss at Atlanta United 2

After Dally’s Memphis squad played Atlanta on Wednesday evening, McCabe became the second FC Cincinnati player to play against Atlanta on Saturday Night. Despite recording a game-tying goal prior to halftime, North Carolina picked up their first loss of 2019.

As for McCabe, he had an 87% passing accuracy that improved to 90% in Atlanta territory. Additionally, he created two chances with two crosses to teammates who were unable to produce their side’s second goal.

Ben Lundt

Position: Goalkeeper

Club: Louisville City FC

Result: 1-1 draw at Tampa Bay Rowdies

Lundt made one save and conceded one goal in the 1-1 draw at Al Lang Stadium. Lundt has now playedin five straight matches for the reigning USL Championship champions after being an unused sub in the season opener.

A point at Tampa Bay is a solid result. Had the Rowdies won, they would’ve jumped to top in the USL Championship with 14 points through six matches. They now have 12.

Logan Gdula

Position: Defender

Club: Phoenix Rising FC

Result: 2-0 win at El Paso Locomotive FC

Gdula, who missed time earlier this season with a quadriceps injury and is fighting to make the 18, did not play in the Rising’s first win in 2019. The fullback is still looking for his professional debut.

Canadian Premier League update:
Emery Welshman

Position: Forward

Club: Forge FC

Result: The club’s first match is April 27 against York9 FC.
