CINCINNATI, OH --- FC Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Recreation Commission will partner once again as FC Cincinnati begins the process of creating the FC Cincinnati Community Fund.
“Creating a fund to promote the growth of soccer in our community has been a goal from the beginning for FC Cincinnati,” said Jeff Berding, FCC President and General Manager. “We are delighted to partner with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission and combine our efforts to introduce and engage our children in the world’s game. Expanding on our community outreach has been a top priority for us and the CRC has been a great FCC partner from our start.”
Established for the purpose of growing soccer in Cincinnati, the FC Cincinnati Community Fund will be used to create soccer and futsal courts in various areas throughout the city as well as run soccer clinics to engage underprivileged children in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The first soccer/futsal court will be located at the Dempsey Playground in Price Hill. The court will have two soccer goals for full court play and will also include a basketball hoop.

Futsal is a modified form of soccer, involving five players per side and typically played on a hard court that is smaller than a traditional soccer pitch.
In addition to the CRC, FCC will look to partner with other organizations in the future to renovate added locations and will aim to add two new courts each year. More information will be posted on our website at fccincinnati.com, once available.
To support funding for the FC Cincinnati Community Fund, the club has created a Split the Pot program which will run at all FCC matches this year, similar to the very successful program run at baseball games for the Reds Community Fund.
