FCC Add Two New Players

SEAN OKOLI, MICHAEL MILLAY JOIN FC CINCINNATI

FC Cincinnati announced the addition of forward Sean Okoli and midfielderMichael Millay, bringing FCC’s inaugural roster to 25.

“Anytime you get an opportunity to add to the quality of the group, it’s a no brainer,” said Head Coach John Harkes. “Sean is a great striker and a kid who offers a big threat. He’s somebody who likes to score goals and get around the box and is a terrific person, as well, off the field,” said Harkes. “Michael really showed great heart and determination through the combines. It’s great to have him as part of the team and involved in the training environment and he is also someone who connects to the community.”

Okoli, a Federal Way, WA native, joins FCC after a 2015 stint with the New England Revolution. He logged 46 minutes in five appearances and also started and played 64 minutes the U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round match against the Charlotte Independence.

Signed as a Homegrown Player by the Seattle Sounders in 2014, Okoli played in the United Soccer League in 2014 while on loan to the Orange County Blues where he notched an assist in two games played.

The forward was a first-team All-ACC choice at Wake Forest, scoring 24 goals and posting nine assists for the Demon Deacons before signing with Seattle Sounders FC in 2014.

Millay, hails from Orlando, Fla. and joins Omar Mohamed as the second player signed from the open tryout held in November. Millay spent three seasons with the University of Cincinnati, playing in 52 games and totaling three goals and two assists for the Bearcats.

After receiving a degree in Sport Administration at UC, the defensive midfielder played a year at Coastal Carolina while pursuing a graduate degree. He played on the 2014 NCAA Tournament team, helping the Chanticleer defense rank 39th in the country with a .85 goals against average in 2014 and limited the opposition to a .106 shot percentage.
