Two Weeks and Counting

By D.J. Switzer - Director of Communications, 11/15/16, 4:00PM EST

In exactly two weeks -- after a day packed full of stops around the city, meetings with city leaders and an up-close and personal look at what the club has to offer -- Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber will be holding a town hall event with FC Cincinnati supporters.

Kicking off at 4pm on Tuesday, November 29th, at Over-the-Rhine's historic Woodward Theater, the commissioner will be fielding questions from the audience of 600 on the city, club and the league he runs.

Thus far, we've unveiled loads of details about the MLS head honcho's visit to the Queen City over the last few weeks, and how you can get involved. But on the off chance you missed them, here's a quick rundown on what you can do to get prepared for "The Soccer Don's" big night in town.

"Cover the City" Campaign

Over the last month, over 3000 and 2500 coasters were spread across the city to help promote the town hall event. At the time, we challenged our supporters to help Garber & Co. know just how excited the city was for their arrival by posting pictures of those magnets and coasters on social media with the hashtag #MLS2CINCY.

To date, we've seen some fantastic submissions on Twitter, Instagram and even Facebook. But with just a fortnight until the day of the Town Hall, we're asking you to double down your efforts to help spread the word!

If you haven't posted a picture of your magnet or coaster yet, do it now! Should you not have been able to get your mitts on either yet, feel free to download the high resolution versions to the right and get to snapping and sharing those pictures!

Twellman to Emcee Town Hall Event

Don Garber and his MLS posse won't be the only recognizable American soccer names visiting Cincinnati on November 29th. Five-time MLS All-Star, 2005 MLS MVP, former US national team striker Taylor Twellman and current lead soccer analyst for ESPN, Taylor Twellman, will be serving as the emcee for Town Hall event at the Woodward Theater! So be sure to get their early for a chance to chat with one of American soccer's best known personalities.

Overflow and Specials

Since Woodward Theater can only hold 600 of our supporters, and we know our supporters number many, many more, the club wanted to make sure to provide our most dedicated fans with additional options should they not make it in the doors before the limits are hit.

As such, we've partnered with three local establishments within a short walk of Woodward -- MOTR Pub, Mr. Pitiful's and Rhinehaus -- to provide not only overflow and live streams of the town hall events, but also specials to keep you around afterward to hang with and mingle with fellow supporters and club officials. Click here for further details on the drink specials each will have on offer.
