Scouting Philadelphia Union II
Record: 7-10-4 (27 points)
Standings: 12th Eastern Conference
Last Result: 1-1 draw – SOL – at New York City FC II | 4-0 loss at Chattanooga FC | 2-0 loss at Columbus Crew 2
Head Coach: Chris Harmon
Leading Scorer: 5 – Edward Davis, Stas Korzeniowski

It has been a difficult season for Philadelphia Union II, by their standards. The perennial Eastern Conference contenders sit 12th in the table, a position that would mark their lowest ever finish to an MLS NEXT Pro campaign. But there is plenty of time for Union II to make a run, and they have the roster to do it.

The availability of first team forward Stas Korzeniowski will have a significant impact on Saturday’s match. Korzeniowski, who made his first MLS NEXT Pro appearance since May 17th this past Saturday against New York City FC II, has five goals in just 409 league minutes this season. Korzeniowski shares a co-lead in goals scored for Union II with Edward Davis, who is the more likely forward to feature this weekend.

Davis leads the team in scoring chances and shots on target, with 37 and 18, respectively. Davis has already matched his goal scoring total from a season ago and a strong second half of the year could see him test his single-season career high when he found the back of the net 13 times in 2024.

Malik Jakupovic, much like Korzeniowski, is a ruthlessly efficient goalscorer for Union II. The 17-year-old forward scored eight goals a season ago in just 417 minutes but has not quite found the same efficiency in 2026. Jakupovic is a more consistent starter in the Union II eleven this year, having made 15 appearances – all starts – and scoring three goals with one assist.

Despite the scoring threat that Union II possess, they have struggled to find the back of the net. Union II have scored the fourth fewest goals this season and have been held scoreless in eight matches.
