CINCINNATI, OH --- Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber will have a full day during his visit to the Queen City, Tuesday, Nov. 29.
“We are looking forward to welcoming Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber to Cincinnati,” said President and General Manager, Jeff Berding. “For our ownership group, staff, supporters and civic leaders, preparation has been truly a city-wide effort to showcase Cincinnati as a city on the rise and for Commissioner Garber to see how special the Queen City is.”
Garber is due to arrive at Lunken Airport at 9:00 a.m. and will head to Great American Tower to meet with FC Cincinnati’s ownership group, led by majority owner, Carl Lindner III.
At 11:00 a.m., Garber will be at the University of Cincinnati for a walking tour of the historic Nippert Stadium facilities which will be followed by a business luncheon back downtown at noon.
A driving tour to show off the development in the urban core of Cincinnati begins at the FCC downtown offices at 1:30 p.m. and will include stops at Fountain Square, Moerlein Lager House, Smale Park, Cintrifuse, Rhinehaus and Washington Park.
Garber is expected to arrive at the FCC Town Hall event at the Woodward Theater at 4:15 p.m. Following its conclusion, Garber is scheduled to attend a private business dinner to end the evening.
Doors to the Woodward Theater will open at 3:00 p.m. with supporters admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis. To accommodate expected overflow, the event will be streamed at participating pubs, MOTR, Mr. Pitiful’s and Rhinehaus as well as on FC Cincinnati’s YouTube channel.
